New England Patriots Linebacker Adalius Thomas 1st Annual Humble Pie Run & Ride on Sunday, June 14, 2009

Net proceeds benefit the Adalius Thomas Foundation

Pawtucket, RI & Rehoboth, MA (June 7, 2009) – New England Patriots Linebacker Adalius Thomas will host the Adalius Thomas 1st Annual Humble Pie Run & Ride on Sunday, June 14, 2009.  Funds raised through the event will benefit the Adalius Thomas Foundation.  The foundation supports mentoring children through academics and sports.

The Adalius Thomas Foundation 1st Annual Humble Pie Run & Ride 2009....presented by Fagan Door and sponsored by Precision Harley Davidson, Mass Hysterics, Senco Printing and Francis Farm. 
Motorcycle Run starts at Precision Harley Davidson in Pawtucket, RI – motorcycle/driver & rider fees are $20 each for the ride and includes entrance into the family festival & car show at Francis Farm for the day.  Tickets are available in advance on www.adalius96.com or may be purchased at Precision Harley-Davidson the morning of the run.  Motorcycle Run registration is from 8-10a with the ride starting promptly at 10:15a. 
Car Show at Francis Farm in Rehoboth, MA is hosted by Adalius Thomas showing his own 1967 Mustang.  Some of Adalius’ teammates (includes Matt Light and Kevin Faulk) are also bringing their cars to the show.  The car show is open to anyone who would like to bring a car – tickets/registration is in advance on www.adalius96.com or on June 14th at Francis Farm from 9-11a.  Car registration is $25 for car and driver to enter the car show and family festival for the day. 
Family Festival is open to the public at Francis Farm in Rehoboth, MA from 11a-5p with car show, bike run (ending there), a Burn Out Pit, bocce & basketball tournaments, live music, bouncy inflatable’s and face painting for kids and more.  Tickets to the family festival are $20 per person and kids 12 and under are free with an adult.   
VIP Dinner with Adalius Thomas (tickets are limited) are $125 per person.  The VIP Dinner features a live Q & A with Adalius (this is one of the best events a football/sports fan will attend) along with a lobster & clam bake and live & silent auctions featuring mostly sports memorabilia and one of a kind items.  Anyone holding a VIP ticket only needs the one ticket for the entire event on June 14 - not only does it include the VIP Dinner but also includes lunch, the motorcycle run, car show and family festival.

Adalius Thomas brings his Pro Grill Team to Harvard Square’s MayFair for a heated competition with Harvard Square’s Pro Grill Chefs in grill-off to benefit Mass Mentoring and Community Servings!

The 26th Annual MayFair is the host site of the first annual Grilling with the Pros featuring New England Linebacker Adalius Thomas’ Pro Team in a heated competition with Harvard Square’s Pro Chefs to benefit Mass Mentoring and Community Servings.

Once inside the Grilling with the Pros enclosed Grid Iron, you are an intimate part of the intensely competitive cooking and eating action as each team Flips, Bastes, Smokes, and Batters it’s “hottest? grilled creations. On the Pro Football Grill Squad “Team Thomas,? Captain Adalius Thomas and his friend Ty Warren and other Surprise Guests stand firm with Celebrity “Meat Coaches?: Ron Savenor and Trey Goodwin from Boston’s Famous Smokehouse and the Savenor pro-meat team.

The Pro-Chef Home Team is led by Paul O’Connell (Veteran of the Taste of the NFL and Chez Henri Owner and Chef) and features Chef Steven Brand, Chef Susan Regis, and Chef/Owner Deborah Hughes from UpStairs on the Square; Chef Michael Scelfo from Temple Bar; Chef Peter Davis from Henrietta’s Table; Chef Dave Punch from Ten Tables and Krista Kranyak Owner of Ten Tables; and John Schall owner of Fire & Ice.

Celebrity Judges from both the World of Pro Sports and Pro Food Writing will weigh in on the results…thus far, Karen Holmes Ward from City Line, WCVB Channel 5, and Steve Burton,WBZ TV Channel 4 Sports Anchor. Local Judges from Cambridge’s Fire Department; Deputy Chief Paul Sheehan and Deputy Chief Gerry Mahoney.

Adult Tickets: $30.00 – Kids under Twelve - $10.00. Ticket sales and merchandise proceeds benefit Mass Mentoring and Community Servings.

Admission into the enclosed area allows each insider:

• A Plate to sample each team’s secret Bar-b-que recipes! Each team will give ticket holders a taste of Ribs, Sausage, Chicken and a few sides. Tickets holders will cast their ballots for their favorite team.
• Players and Chefs will rotate opportunities for photos!
• Footballs and t-shirts are also available for purchase and signing with additional funds going to beneficiary Mass Mentoring!
• All food, merchandise and volunteer time has been donated…thank you Adalius and team, Chefs, City of Cambridge and Harvard Square Chefs.

First Half: 1:00 pm– 2:30 pm
Second Half: 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm

New England Patriots Linebacker Adalius Thomas To Distribute 400 Turkeys In Dorchester Today

New England Patriots Linebacker Adalius Thomas returns to the Holland Community Center in Dorchester today at 5:00 p.m. to distribute 400 turkeys to Dorchester residents at his 2nd Annual Turkey Give-a-way.

Sponsored by Adalius Thomas and his "Humble Pie Mission," Hannafords Supermarkets, and Mass Hysterics “Marketing for the 21st Century,? this is the second event at the Holland Community Center that Thomas has sponsored. In September, he visited the Center to speak with students about the importance of education and pass out backpacks and school supplies.

The Holland Community Center is one of 46 facilities managed by Boston Centers for Youth & Families, the City of Boston’s largest youth and human service agency. This coming Monday, another BCYF center, the Vine Street Community Center, will host a turkey give-a-way by Boston Celtic Ray Allen for Roxbury residents.
